A console table is a very much like a coffee table in the sense that it is lower than a normal table, but the table has a solid panel set between the legs which is low down near the floor to give you a platform on which to store magazines or a stylish ornament. The table then often has drawers attached under it where you can discretely store small items. The table can then be set against a wall as a very stylish decoration or you can go the extra mile and use it as a coffee table or small side table as well to get the maximum usage out of it in your home.
