Focal Point to TV Stands

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Many people like to have a focal point in their home, something nice to look at, something that people’s eyes will be drawn to as soon as they walk into that room, in days gone by it used to be a large oil painting or an ornament on the large fire surround.

Believe it or not we are getting more and more fashion conscious and not just when it comes to our clothes but also the must-have appliances in our home. Nowadays, with all the new ultra flat screen TVs on the market many people are deciding to invest their money on the latest models and making the TV the new focal point.

Rotating Hand Chair is Spot On

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

At some point we’ll all be unfortunate enough to have to make a trip to either the doctors or dentists, places that no one likes to visit as they always seem to be associated with pain and discomfort.

I remember as a kid being dragged to the big house at the end of the main street – the dentists house! Their decor left a lot to be desired all painted in magnolia and battleship grey with the odd oil painting hung here and there. Not only that, I can remember it being always cold and we had to sit on hard wooden seats with multi coloured cushions on them which did nothing for comfort.

When we decide to revamp our room there are many choices and arguments to be had about the type of furniture that should be purchased. Mostly, we look for a piece that will compliment our taste without looking out of place.

Let’s face it when it comes to having a party no one likes to be left standing, if we are honest with ourselves, thirty minutes standing in the kitchen talking to friends is ok, then you have to find somewhere to sit down. Many people simply don’t have enough seating to accommodate all their invited guests to their get together. It can become a game of musical chairs.

Holidays are coming … holidays are coming … sorry for sounding like a tooth decaying, oil eating, American fizzy drinks TV ad but it is coming to that time of year. Know what reminded myself that it’s getting near the festive hols? No, not the overnight appearance of xmas deccies in shop windows but the call from the sister-in-law telling meyself that her and her delightful brood are coming to stay. Our house is maxed out, as it is, but I guess there is always room for family.

Modern and Contemporary TV Stands

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

As we all know modern built homes are more compact and bijou than the traditional older style homes, this can present many problems to people when they decide to downsize. They have to be careful when it comes to positioning all their possessions in their new homes as many of the older, traditional style cabinets and sofas were made to be showcased in much larger living spaces.

Dinner Time Silence

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Since this inter webby-thing took off, everyone seems to be in such a hurry, it feels as though no-one has time to chat to each other. It’s all texts and e-mails. When was the last time that we actually sat and had a conversation with the person that sits next to you at work? Much easier to e-mail them or even talk to them on social networking sites but actually chat face-to-face? No! That’s so 20th Century.
