The Apprentice 2009

Earlier this week, BBC aired its new series of The Apprentice. Now, if your like me, you’ll have given this program a wide berth over the years (I’m more a Dragon’s Den kinda guy). However, this year, I have been challenged to give the show a chance to breath and I’m bound to be hooked come the end, we’ll see… After missing Wednesday’s night screening I watched the program again via the BBC’s iPlayer Online (www.bbc.co.uk/theapprentice/).

Eco-Friendly Furniture Or A Step Too Far

I do love designers getting into the green theme of recycling material, especially where modern furniture is concerned. However, I’m not 100% sold, as-of-yet, to the product I’m about to highlight today. Carboard Furniture is not a new thing its been around for a few years, mostly the furniture pieces in the past were made from re-inforced cardboard held together by some very strong glue or the occasional screw – just in case.

It Scrubs Up Well

Inspirational UK furniture designer, Jason Taylor, might be a name some of our Contemporary Furniture Blog readers might recognise. Jason was the man who was behind the ‘Scrub Together’ bench. It seems Jason has been busy creating other everyday items as modern furniture pieces. We thought it a great idea to highlight some of Jasons work here on our blog – we hope you enjoy them as well.
